About Us

Judy Soehnel opened her salon on February 14, 1986. She employed two stylists at the time, both being her daughters, Shannan Suchyta and Susan Trautner. Shannan was with her for twelve years. She now works for the Bay City Public Schools. By 1989 Judy had twelve stylists and open six days a week. Today she employs five stylists and is always interested in hiring additional qualified stylists. Any new stylists hired are paid a guaranteed hourly wage and can switch to commission when they prefer to do so.

We offer several levels of expertise and service prices when it comes to choosing a stylist. Their prices are determined by the level of advanced training they have had during their career and years of experience. Our two most experienced stylists, Susan Trautner and Gwen Kolbiaz, are both American Board Certified Haircolorists. They have taken advanced classes at Wella's Training Center in New York and Chicago for the past several years. As a result of the various levels, we can book an appointment for you based on the level of experience you are looking for and the price you would prefer.
